Our client, Metro
Wastewater Reclamation District, is seeking a District Manager with
demonstrated leadership ability, strong people and process management
expertise, outstanding political skills, excellent communication skills, and

The District
Manager reports directly to the Board of Directors and is the chief
administrative officer of the Metro District. Direct reports to the District
Manager include the Deputy Manager and six department heads.
The District
Manager will have specific responsibilities for working effectively with the
Metro District Board of Directors; legal counsel; financial/bond consultants;
consulting engineers; contractors; officials of Metro District Member
Municipalities and Special Connectors; federal and state legislators; county

Key duties of
the District Manager also include directing public information/education and
legislative affairs, presenting statements at public hearings, and numerous
contacts with enforcement agencies and officials.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•An advanced degree is a
plus.
•Progressive management
responsibility culminating in a senior management position in an organization
of comparable complexity, preferably in a regulated industry; must include
significant budget responsibility, including oversight of capital projects.
•Demonstrated leadership
ability, including an openness to and experience leading change.
•Successful experience
working with boards and/or commissions.
