Lola Marlene Patillo
Date of Passing: May 12, 2009

Lola Marlene Patillo, 58, died May 12, at her residence in Glen Burnie
of natural causes. Previously she resided in Pasadena.
Marlene was born on November 17, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn. She earned a
Bachelor of Science degree and was employed by the Maryland Department of the
Environment for 25 years. She was a chemist and a state inspector.
Marlene was a member of the Rural Wastewater Association, Standard
Methods Committee, and Secretary of the Lombardee Beach Community Association,,
WWOA. Her interests included shooting pool, scuba diving, hanging out with
friends and family, watching TV, and singing country music.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James T. Patillo;
her mother Paula A. White/Pauline A. Roden; and grandmother Annie Mae Cline.
She is survived by her daughter, Alaunda Vacovsky of Tennessee; son
William Jones of Pasadena; uncle John Roden of Arkansas; grandchildren Michelle
Vacovski, Heather Vacovski and Mackenzie Jones.
Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and May 17, 3 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m., at the Gonce Funeral Home, 169 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. Funeral
services will be held there Monday, May 18, at Noon, with the Reverend Milt
Zahn officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery,
Crownsville.
